Sleep during the day

My 3 month old daughter sleeps well at night, usually a stretch of at least 6 hours, but sometimes 10 hours with out waking...but she hardly naps much during the day. She sometimes falls asleep after a feeding (maybe every other feeding) or may start to look sleepy when we are walking around to music. If she starts to look sleepy, I try to put her in her vibrating chair or swing because she seems to reject her crib during the day. I would say she has a 1 hour nap every other day, otherwise only 20-30 min. naps 3-4 times a day....does this seem normal?

My son is kind of like that. He will sleep 10- 11 hours at night and 30- 45 min. naps during the day. Sometimes if I am lucky he will sleep an hour. I have found that running errands during the day and getting home later than his "usual" nap time, he will sleep longer. So you might try being more out and active during the day.

everything sounds like it should and even better!! the only thing is the 10 hours without waking. wake her up after 7 hours of sleep and then maybe she will take longer naps during the day. hope this helps!

that sounds lucky! my 3 month old is still only sleeping 3-4 hours stretches at night and usually around 2 3-hour naps during the day. but if she doesn't get her nap she gets extremely cranky and fussy. she also will not sleep in her crib or bassinet during the day so i often have to hold her the entire time she naps or she immediately wakes up if i try to lay her down anywhere. kind of a bummer cause i can't get anything done. don't really know what's normal but definitely be thankful that you're starting to get rest at night :) i can't wait to get there!
