Routine. Bath time, warm sippy cup, story and cuddle time then bed time on time.

Beyond that, is your little one teething? Did he sleep well prior? Try looking up Sears Method or The Ferber Way..

Does he have a music machine on his crib? If you push it when he wakes up and walk out, he may be distracted and sleepy enough to fall asleep. I hear both of my boys turn theirs on at night if they wake up. It's funny, but it soothes them and puts them right back out. Just a thought. We did the sleep training (letting them cry themselves to sleep). It worked. You just have to be strong. If you know that he's not hurt, hungry, or wet-through his pjs, you know that he'll be just fine crying himself to sleep. He'll still be happy as a lark when he sees you in the morning when he wakes up if you let him cry at night. Good luck!
