My 2 year old gets up in the middle of the night and comes to get in my bed. She will kick and hit and push on me till I get out of the bed. So how do I get her to stay in her own bed all night?

I had the same problem with my son at that age, I think it must be a phase. I would just walk him back to his bed give a kiss tell him its ok and go back to bed. If he kept it up i would just do it over and over again, eventually he got the hint of i wast gonna let him sleep in my bed. hehe! Good luck!

I like the idea of a nightlight or even those glow in the dark stars on the ceiling....something to make it appealing or different for her.

Ever see Supernanny? Jo walks them back to their bed and tells them it is time for bed. Everytime after that she walks them back without saying a word. They will eventually give in and stay in their bed, although it may take awhile. You have to be consistent or it will not work.

Maybe put something in her room that will emit "white noise". An air purifier, fan, soft music...maybe it's too quite and little noises wake her up...???

Quoting Holly:

why do you allow it? I assume you eventually give in, so she keeps doing it. Why do you allow your daughter to kick and hit you? Does she respect you? Do you give in to other things?

Way to be supportive!

I had the same problem with mine. I put a nightlight in her room and it helped.

I personally only have twin baby girls that are 5 months old but my sister has 3 kids and she's had this same problem and what she did was each time her 5 year old would cme get in there bed she would get up and take him back to his own bed. The first several nights were hard b/c he kept getting back up and coming back in their room. But she stuck with it and after that he starting sleeping through the night in his own bed...unless he had to get up and go potty.
