It's very hard for me because I have 3 other children, 2, 4, and 6, and I babysit 2 other children 3 times a week. I can't afford a gym membership, I can't do stroller/mommy workouts because I always have at least three children with me at all times. Though my husband is very supportive, he works two jobs, and is not available to take over so I can work out. I need motiviation, I need ideas, i need something that's going to work!

P90X is amazing. I have grown up in the fitness industry. My father used to own lots of fitness centers. P90X and Insanity are both very challenging and some of the best I have ever seen. Team Beach Body is fantastic. It is better than being a member at a gym. You can invite other members to work out with you online. Its great for accountability. You will learn all about nutrition & fitness. There is a wealth of information on this website. I use this program. I do it almost everyday. http://www.teambeachbody.com/kristinarya...

I have a similiar situation, I have a 3 yo, 7 yo who I homeschool, and I babysit two infants. Feels like I can never leave the house! I'm thinking about getting the Wii fitness programs and working out at home. I've heard that p90x program works too.

I do team beach body! I love it. You can join free as a "member" at
http://www.teambeachbody.com/kristinarya... . I am actually a team beach body coach. You can do that too. Its an online weightloss community. They are the makers of P90X, Insanity, Hip Hop Abs and more. You will find all kinds of nutritional information on the
website. They have a way of holding you accountable. You can meet other members/coaches there. The programs really work. I have met so many amazing people. I love it.

As for the dieting part, you should check out Weight Watchers. There are ways to do this program without spending money. I love it and it WORKS. Its not difficult and I feel so much better. I am chasing my daughter around all day so I don't really have as much time for working out, but honestly that is a workout in itself!! Good luck!

I have a Wii and use the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus... I do this after lunch while my son is napping. You choose what kind of things you want to do, so if you only have time for some quick cardio or just need to relax and do a few yoga poses it works. I've found it works better than tryin to go along with a DVD that is fast paced and throws you off if you have to pause it for any reason.

what you eat makes a big difference as well. If your eating healthy and snacking on the right things that should help you get some baby weight off, and help with those days when you cant do anything.

hey Aubrey,

I totally understand where you are coming from. Trying to fit a workout schedule into caring for the little ones is challenging. While I am vaccumming or just playing with my toddler I starps 5lb wieghts to my ankels...lol

I also will lay on the floor and use my daughter and weight for my arms. I have an oversided exercise ball that I do crunches on and my daughter loves to run into and fall over lol

I just started a new community on here called Love to Lose 20 to 10 in 2010.... Would love to see you there!

Best of luck to you!

I feel your pain. My daughter is almost 5 months and I have 2 stepchildren ages 10 and 12. We live on a busy highway, so I can't walk with my daughter in fear of getting hit by a Mack truck and we only have one vehicle right now, and my husband has to take it to work. I looked up "mommy and me" exercises on parents.com. All of them incorporate the baby and mine laughs whenever we do them. I also was given the Wii Fit for Christmas, which helps with the older kids b/c we can have fun, get in shape (as long as you do it more than once a week, or at all), and take turns holding the baby. I make sure I leave the diapers somewhere where I will have to walk to get them, usually upstairs. I am very aware of my movements when doing things like picking up the baby and try to make the movement beneficial to my body in some way. Squat down to pick up baby, squeeze butt as you slowly lift baby and yourself back up. Do it a couple times before moving on to the next thing. It's not a complete workout in 30 minutes, but if you do it all day, it has to help.

When I had my son last Janurary I found that just spending the money on a home treadmill works wonders. It is a little expensive but atleast you can go for a walk/run on it while your children are napping. And if they need anything hop off, and then hop back on! It only took me 4 months PP to get back to prepregnancy weight and I'm going to do it again once I have Charleigh in March.

Also, some light 5 lb weights would be great, too, when your walking. Or if you find that you can't do much exercising that day....at night use the weights...one in each hand and do leg lunges. Atleast 2-3 reps of 12 on each leg. It'll help fill in a little exercise void and longing.

The greatest motivation is your kids. Wanting to be fit so you can play and run after them.

Hope I helped some!

You could try workout videos. There is even a cable channel, I believe it's called FitTV, with yoga and excersice shows all the time. I know its frusterating but try to stay positive, anything is possible. Good Luck!!!!
