I am thinking about what it would be like to have a baby and we would be adding a "third" to our home. i'm wondering if any moms out there have trouble with a family of 5 or more trying to get them to fit into societys "four person" family mold. it just seems like everything is made for a 4 person family. dinner sets, theme park discount packages, ect. anyone feel the same way?

I see exactly what you're saying. I have noticed that a lot. i know I would not be prepared to have a 3rd right now because of this!

I know where your coming from. My husband and i have been considering adding a third (I never wanted only two). One problem for us would be can 3 fit across the back seat? Back when i was a kid an average family was considered to be 3 kids now its changed to 2. I think that there should be multiple discount packs for different size families.

i just see four piece dinner wear, four person sedan (the half a middle seat doesnt count), four person booth at the restaronts, four person season passes or four person package deals at resorts. nobody else sees this?

I guess I have always felt the 5 person family mold. Most of the families I knew growing up were 5 people or more. Isn't the model 2.5 children and 1.5 dogs?
