speech development

my daughter is turning 2 this november.... she can utter less than 10 words only and unable to express in phrases..... she expresses herself so fast and i cannot understand what she meant.... he speaks so fast. Her words are like a chinese.. is it a threat?? im so so worried...

thanks for the links tara.... (im from philippines), she can utter few words...its just when she expresses herself... you will not really understand her she talks so fast......ill take your advise :)... im really planning to have her check... :) Good Day Mom....

My daughter is 17 months and can say a few words, some are still a little off on how they sound, but she is getting better at it. If she says the word incorrectly, I just correct her and try to get her to repeat it.

I'm not sure where you are (I'm in Canada), but most countries use similar standards to tell if your child is not meeting their speech development properly. I found a couple of links that might be helpful for you:

If you are really concerned you could have her evaluated by a speech pathologist to see if she has any developmental delays.
