Oh what a fun time! I would recommend not to start with too many fruits, you don't want him to dismiss meats and vegetables because they're not as sweet as fruit. Watch for him being constipated. Gross, I know. I've never had to deal with that until recently with my niece. And then we had to do the prune juice and that was worse. But it helped. Oh, be careful for those teething biscuits or baby cookies; I gave them to my oldest, and he had no problem gumming through them BUT when I gave them to my youngest, he had choked. He's safe and healthy now but something to watch for. One more thing, it would be helpful to learn CPR and ESPECIALLY the Hiemlic Maneuver for babies and toddlers. Knowing those two things has helped me so much and saved me from some close calls. Good Luck!!!
