I made the choice when I found I out I was pregnant with my first child daughter Madison to tackle motherhood and give it my very best. I used to feel guilty at first for quitting work especially when people told me I was too smart to be wasting my life as a stay at home mom. . I won't sugar-coat how difficult it can be to make a transition from career to home-maker but as hard as it was in the beginning especially being a single mom (age 47) Madison just mattered so much to me that my making the decision to be at home to raise her was not a sacrifice but rather something I have enjoyed! I know the importance of nurturing and bonding with your own child and how daily interactions with my daughter as she developed has only strengthened our already trusting relationship. I have no regrets for there has been personal growth for both Madison and myself as we take on these real-life FIRSTS together. We both have enjoyed the learning as much as the playtime, not to mention the strong mother/ daughter bonding. I hope this post will inspire other women who are considering this role as a "stay at home mom" God Bless!.
*Mom's please contribute POSITIVE experiences you have pulled out of being a stay at home mom. Much appreciated! Jenine DiConti for Madison http://www.dicontiforhire.com
