Stay at home mommy and no friends.

[deleted account] ( 5 moms have responded )

Hi, my name is Mindy and I have 6 children from ages new born to 15 yrs. 2 children are disabled and my husband works but I cannot yet. I don't have transportation to get anywhere and I have no friends. I have only lived in Oregon for a year now and have been pregnant most of that. It would be nice to have friends to vent to and get advice. 3 of my children are biological and it feels like I am a new mom all over again. Having a non supportive husband doesn't help and he thinks his parenting theories are all that matters. We have 2 COMPLETELY different prospective's of parenting so how do you compromise with someone who won't?

Hi Mindy,

Yes, four months is a nice stage!! I enjoy his little talks that he has with me and his big beautiful toothless smiles.. they always melt me :)
just don't enjoy being woken up during the night to feed him, and this morning he woke me at 5:30 am , and wouldn't go back to sleep!! So I'm feeling quite tired!! that is one aspect that I don't like about babies..

Hello Marie,
I think at the 4 month stage that's when babies start to get more fun. My new born is 1 month, and he is definitely a "momma's boy" which is perfectly fine by me. My husband has come to terms with it, lol.

Hi Erika, Believe it or not, after a few years it has gotten easier to take chaos and put it into structure. Of my 6 lil ones I only have 1 girl. She is disabled. Would really like to get to know each other.

Hi Mindy,

I would be happy to be friends with you! Sounds like you have quite a challenge!
I am from New Zealand, and I am a first-time mum to my son, who is 4 months! I am happy for you to vent or share whatever you're going through with me.

take care,
Marie xx
