Stay at Home Moms-NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ

[deleted account] ( 36 moms have responded )

Hello fellow Domestic Goddesses!

My name is Sara and I'm the new Admin of Stay at Home Moms. I have 2 daughters. My oldest is 2 and my youngest is two months. I've been staying at home since I became pregnant with my first. This community has always been a great place for moms to find advice and support and I hope to continue that tradition. Just a few reminders:

Please remember that solicitations are not allowed in this community. This includes, but is not limited to, business ads, product promotion, requests for votes in a contest, posting diaper codes, advertising personal blogs, etc. Along these same lines, we ask that you do not start threads asking for ideas on how to work from home. By doing this you are asking members to post solicitations. For more information on solicitations please view the pinned thread at the top of our community.

Also keep in mind Circle of Moms Guidelines:

Community Guidelines (No T.H.U.M.P.S.):

Our guidelines are simple and are meant to help maintain an atmosphere of generosity and respect, so that everyone can have a positive experience here. They can be boiled down to this: please always try to add value to this community rather than take it away. Also, keep the phrase "No T.H.U.M.P.S." in mind. It stands for

Threats (You may not publish or post direct, specific threats of violence or illegal acts against others.)

Hate Speech (No slurs or stereotyping.)

Unlawful Use (You may not use Circle of Moms for unlawful purposes or promotion of illegal activities. If it's illegal where you live or in the state of California it's illegal here.)

Misrepresentation (You must be who you say you are. No false profiles or false children's profiles.)

Personal attacks (You may not abuse, slander, or vilify another member.)

Spam (You may not publish or post solicitations or advertisements except in designated areas.)

Enjoy Circle of Moms!

I look forward to seeing you around!

Thanks,

Sara

Annie, at the top of your page there should be alerts. It's just to the left of your picture (in the top right corner). That will have a red number if you have alerts. If you put your mouse on it it will drop down with your most recent alerts. At the bottom of that menu there will be a "view all alerts" link if you a lot. If someone replies to a post by you if will show up there with a link to the thread.

Hi i am new here. I have three kids and am happily, married. Three, two, and three months are the ages of my little loves. I would like to give and receive support. My identitu was stolen on anothernsicial site and i was really hurt by it and so because of that i dont post all of my ibfo, but i am a very real mom! Just ask me about my first 28 hour labor!

Crikey, yes, that would still be considered soliciting. In this community, I wouldn't mind if you shared your idea in a thread without your blog or shared it in another thread where a mom asks for craft ideas or fun activities. The reason that CoM asks not to advertise your blog is because then we would have a ton of threads where members are asking others to come read their blog.

Hi,

Just to confirm that if my conversation is actually an idea to HELP SAHM's like myself have some fun time with their children though a fun craft, that although it actually appears in my personal blog, then it is considered 'advertising my personal blog'?

Crikey!

Indeed. Thank you. I am a VERY direct and honest person. This trait of mine sometimes translates into a misunderstood trait. If I have offended someone with my TONE of "voice", then I apologize. I will continue however, to give an honest opinion. It might not be what that person is looking for or wants to "hear", but "HONESTY" is something I would never apologize for. I would rather someone be HONEST, and even BRUTALLY honest, then be lied to. There is nothing to gain from a lie.

Peace to all. :)

Annie, if you scroll up to the very top of this page you will see "MY ACCOUNT" in the right corner in pink letters. To the left of that is your profile picture and to the left of that is your alerts. I hope that's more specific. I'm not very good at explaining this stuff sometimes :). You can view alerts there and that will tell you when others respond to posts you've started or posted to. Hope that helps a little more!
