So My mother in law used to work as a babysitter/housekeeper and I remember how she was always complaining how hard her job was and how tired she was after she got home. Now that I have my kids and I stay at home cleaning, watching over the kids, etc, etc, with no days off and no vacations, she says that my life is so easy because I don't have to go to work!!! Can you beleive this?working as a babysitter is a job,but staying at home to take care of your own kids is no work at all, duuhhh it's exactly the same thing and worse because we never get off,we work 24/7.

LOL...Mother in laws! It is hard, frustrating, wonderful, tiring, rewarding, emotional, under appreciated...everything at the same time! It takes a special woman to be a successful, happy stay at home mom! I've done it both ways with my daughter, and it was much easier to kiss her goodbye and go to work than be home all day and stay happy mommy....Keep appreciating what your doing! No one know til they walked a day in your shoes...truth!

im with ya...being a stay at home mom is more work then any man does cuz they only have to deal with the kids from say 5 pm to bedtime and at my house that isn't very long cuz my kids go to bed at 8:30 so i can have some me time before i decide to go to bed and my me time usually consist of cleaning and doing laundry so i don't really have "me" time

Invite your mother-in-law over to look after the kids for a day while you go shopping, catch up with girlfriends whatever and see if she still feels the same....lol

My husband loves to come home and tell me that he can't possibly help me with anything I need help with because HE worked all day. When I point out that what I do is frequently more demanding than what he does (since I can't just take a break whenever I want one!) he tells me that watching our daughter isn't that hard since he does it most Saturday mornings! Yeah, 3 hours one day a week definitely equals the amount of time I put in...

Ya...my husband informed me the other day that he "figured it out" and I only work 6 hours a day. He's lucky he's still breathing...
