Have you considered doing daycare out of your home? You get the extra income and get to be home with your kids all day. Works great for me. Plus you can have playmates for your kids. I only watch 2 exra kids...not too overwhelming!

I am a proud mother of 2 little boys 3 and 1 1/2 and my family is in the same situation but I am almost 6 months pregnant and have a hard time thinking who would hire me now even part time. I have looked into Internet CEO Moms but at the time I was very sick from my pregnancy and did not pursue it. I would really like to find something that I could do at home that is not a gimmick and all of your suggestions will be very helpful to me in finding something that suits me. Tara I am right with you about sales-not my thing!!

Hi Dianna
How are you? I had a similar challenge a few years ago when my kids were younger,I am a single mum and have 5 kids, I have 3 with special needs and this made it harder for me to even get someone to mind them when I was out working.
So I started a home based biz (I had never done or thought of doing anything like it before) but I found I could work when it suited me and I could earn as much as I needed to make life more manageable.
If you would like some info just let me know

Do the math. Odds are it would cost you more to go back to work (commuting costs, daycare, lunches, etc) than it does for you to stay at home. That's how it is with my husband and I - we did the math and figured out that by the time we figured in daycare for 2 kids (if we were lucky enough to find a daycare that takes kids under 1), commuting, lunches, etc, it was cheaper for me to stay at home. I'm doing a course to become a medical transcriptionist because I can contract from home - we thought that even if I'm only bringing in a couple of hundred dollars a month extra to start, that's money we didn't have before. To help with the slack until I am able to work from home we set up a good budget and stick to it as best as we can - there will always be unexpected expenses, but if you have a decent budget, most times you can manage it well enough. If you are in that much of a crunch financially, definitely check out things you can do at home, but play to your skills - when I was looking for at-home work I tried to look in areas that played to my strengths (typing, business/technical, etc) instead of jumping in with something like Avon or other things because I suck at sales lol :)

check out http://www.liveops.com . It is a valid company that actually pays. They do charge $50 to do a background check. I know several people who do it. You can work up to as little or as much money as you want to depending on available schedules. They really do pay you. So you can have both. You can even work at night if you want to. Its not mlm or network marketing which I believe in the network marketing/mlm industry. Its just if you are needing money asap then LiveOps is a great choice.

I am a stay at home mom as well. I have learned to make adjustments in the budget. Buy what is on sale at the grocery store use coupons or buy the store brand and change your weekly menu based what is on sale. My Son is 3 1/2 and is full of energy and maybe day care in you home for some extra income would work for you.

Why can't you have both? I am a stay at home mom that also earns residual income from home. I am able to work around my family's schedule and make a difference in our household finances.

I am a stay at home mom to my now 2 year old son. I joined Internet CEO Moms a while ago and I have to say it's the most positive experience! I work with an amazing group of moms who are very dedicated in helping other moms work from home and becoming financially independent. The training is free and the support is unlimited!! No selling, parties, or inventory. It is a very fun and flexible business and I love the fact that I can work when I want and most importantly, be there with my son through all his milestones.

Check out my website http://www.4theLoveofMyFamily.com/.

I would be happy to give you more information and introduce you to the business!
