Being a new mom can feel really isolating at times, especially when your friends don't have children. When your son gets a little older and his feeding schedule gets easier, you can take the bus to the library for story time or to a playground if there's one nearby. Then you can meet other moms and perhaps set up times to get together. It helps to pass the time to have another mom to talk to! Good luck to you and your little boy!

I understand how you're feeling, I have a 10 week old daughter and it's just me and her cooped up in our 3rd floor apartment all day everyday! We also have only one car (it is mine but since my bf is working I let him use it most days) and I don't have a neighborhood to walk in. I'm about to look up a mommy and me group I'm getting so desperate, even though I have been in this town over 3 years and really haven't found any but one person I connected with, and she works full time. It is so frustrating!! Good luck to you, I know how you are feeling! But you are right, I wouldn't want to be anywhere but here with my daughter.

I clean alot, find new receipes online and try them, some of them take a while. take your little one in the stroller for a nice long walk, exercise always makes a person feel better. Go to lunch with a girl friend once a week. I love staying home but i do admit it does get to me sometimes, i have just learned to keep busy. good luck!

My baby and I go for walks, attend a breast feeding support group twice a week, hang out with other moms, cook, all kinds of things.
It is important for you and your baby to get out and do things or you will go crazy.
Its also nice to have a lazy day every once in awhile and stay home and snuggle all day.

Check to see if there is a Mommy & Me group in your area. See if there are any Gymboree classes in your area as well. Then you can be with your baby, but meet other mothers at the same time. Maybe even be able to set up future playdates. Good luck. :-)

We don't. lol! I'm not home all day every day, girl. Get out- go to the park. Join a local mom's group. take a trip to the zoo. Go to the mall (you don't have to buy anything- as hard as it may be!) I am the poster momma for cabin fever! I can always find something to do, somewhere. You just have to be creative! =) It's summer, there's plenty to do! Good luck! Let me know if you need any ideas... oh... start scrapbooking, it's time consuming and will definitely keep you busy!
