I was married for 12 years. And my loving husband and i separated. He stays the night with the woman every other night and leaves me to deal with the 2 boys 9-11 while he plays house somewhere else. We still are living together but living in separate rooms. (long story) I was recently asked by a friend of mine to go to a club with her in another town and stay at a hotel. I am afraid that me not being home is a bad thing. I have not been away from my boys their whole lives ever and i really want to go . But will it make me a bad mother to not come home that night??

Ty that means a lot. I was afraid they would resent me for it. I actually asked them hoe the felt about me going out. They said mommy its only fair u never go no where

Absolutely not!!!!! Why shouldn't you get to go out and have fun when your ex gets to go out and not worr aothis kids thinking "wheres daddy" there not going to grow up and think that you weren't around when they were growing up because u go out once.tbh there old enough that once they go to bed thats it there asleep and to them it's not going to seem like mummy was gone a long time.If they have food in their bells someone to read them a bed time story someone to listen to them and stuff to do you having a night off isn't going to ruin or shape there lives at all.

Go have fun!! Wish I could go out but with a 3,1 yr and 3 mo and a ex partner that only has them every second Wednesday day and Sunday I can't really lol enjoy yourself Hun :)
