i feel you girl, i was in so much pain, then a friend told me to wear a sports bra cause it was tight on the breast and put cold cabbage leaves in the bra, sounds crazy but i swear by it! that is the only way i could get any relief! hope this helps you!

When I quit breastfeeding I tried a few things and nothing worked,Then my mothers friend told me to get in the shower and get the water as hot as you like,Then start squeezing the milk out. I know people say not to express any but it worked for me. Just stay under the water, And massage the milk out, Keeping doing it till you cant get anymore out. Then when your done, If you still think there is more, Take another shower later or the next day and get the rest out. I was never in pain, And I never made anymore milk after that. It worked for me.

if your stopping bc either A its medical or B the baby is 12 months than you should slowly ween by replacing meals for your baby's sake for your sake i heard cabbage helps and ice packs ... don't let hott water hit your breasts in the shower it'll encourage milk production, no nipple stimulation same thing.... ummmm... wear like really tight sports bras and ask a close friend or hubby to wrap you in ace bandages to restrict milk production ...it'll give your body a hint to stop producing milk AND WHAT EVER YOU DO ...DO NOT RELEASE ANY OF THE MILK...NO MATTER HOW PAINFULL... YOU WILL JUST PUT YOURSELF IN A VISCIOUS CYCLE...

Ugh girl i understand what you are going through! Every time I would feel like that I would go jump into a shower with hot water. Not too hot just hot enough to handle. Lift which ever arm that is on the side of the breast that hurts the worst up over my head and let it rest on my neck as I i messaged my breast. It always relieved the pain for me. At night while I was asleep I would sleep with a heating pad under my breast. If your out on a date or with the girls just excuse yourself to the bathroom and message over the sink or grab some paper towels and soak them in hot water ( if hot water is available) and sit in stall with it on the breast and message at the same time. To get the milk to dry faster wean your baby off a week at a time. You can also wrap bandage around your breast really tight and it will give them support and kind of stop the milk from coming out. I hope this helps!

Is there a reason why you are quitting? When I decided to quit w/my daughter it was a slow process and I didn't experience any pain.Start w/replacing one bf session w/bottle or sippy for a few days and increase from there.

it depends on why you are quiting...if its for medical reasons and you need to stop suddenly then try cabbage leaves. If you have time it might be more comfortable to slowly replace feedings with the bottle rather than quiting cold turkey.

You might try Cabbage. Just stuff it in your bra. You need to kinda crush it in your hand. it lets out something to help dry you up. I dont know if it really works, but it sure did feel good. The cold that is. good luck. that was probably the worst week ever.
