My daughter is eighteen months old and I am thirty weeks pregnant. Starting last Wednesday, she started waking up at like two o'clock in the morning wanting to eat after she had a good dinner and a snack the night before. Tonight she is crying and having a fit for practically no reason. I understand regression because when I was pregnant with her, my son was three years old and he was finishing potty training and he regressed from that during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Could it be that she knows that there is a new baby on the way so she is doing what a baby would do wich is wake up during the night for a feeding? I have no idea what's going on other than that. Plase help me understand because as of right now that is all I can think it is.

She is not teething right. As far as a groth spurt, I'm not sure. THat could probably be it. She sleeps during the day for about an hour or two but she just started waking up during the night last week. Hopefully things will change soon.

Hi Takala,
I'm no expert. I typically do Google searches to find different reasons. Some thoughts that come to mind are...growth spurt? Teething? How long is she napping during the day? Can she communicate anything to give you an idea of what she might be needing?
