I've been stuck in the house for something like 3 years. I use to be a party girl but now I'm settled down and have my kids to raise. But I find myself afraid of the outside world because I really don't know how to make new friends any help please.

They should have baby and preschool story time at the library and that would be a good scene to hang out at. Other moms even will help and socialize w/ the 7 mo old. How about MOPS? I think that is a group where you can bring all kinds of kids and socialize W/moms. And also just find a great playground and take a lunchbox of snacks and sit on a blanket with the baby while the older ones play. You will get to socialize w/moms and may eventually make friends to trade babysitting time with; which you will need sooner or later! :)

Thanks so much Jamie 4 the advice, I will start that library thing. Only thing tho is I have a 7 month old 2. I need 2 figure something out tho & thanks 4 the vote of confidence. I have yet 2 connect on any level when it comes 2 play date friends or even Facebook. I have a long way 2 go but it's just what u said, I'm n the best position ever & I am enjoying every minute of the time spent with my boys.

Hi Cheron, I was/am kind of the same, been home for 5 years now and I go through spells like that. Sometimes I'm afraid or lonely, then other days I'm a go getter. I've been learning to go to the library for storytime with the kids and figuring out that other moms feel the same way! I've slowly have met other moms, none are "real" friends yet (Facebook friends, not hang out type) but at least they are others that I can talk to. I know I could have better friendships if I really tried but haven't yet with these girls. I've also learned, there is nothing to be afraid of, you are in the best situation in life, a homemaker! Make the best of it, teach your kids everything! Most working moms and husbands are jealous of your situation, enjoy every moment you have!
