Hi☺ My baby has been breastfed for the last 5mnths and I'm not producing enough breast milk to keep her weight up to what i feel is adequate for her age n height...any suggestions are greatly appreciated. She doesn't like the bottle or the taste of formula when i try to give it to her.

The pediatricians all told me that my son was under weight, that there was something wrong. So I supplemented with formula and my milk production died. There wasn't anything wrong with him, he is just a small baby and he is totally fine. If your milk production starts to decline, nurse or milk every couple of hours and within 2 or so weeks it should start growing. Make sure your breast are empty. The more you nurse/pump, the more it tells your brain that you need to make milk. But if you feel like she is developing just fine and that there is nothing wrong, she may just be small. I've heard about goats milk and/or using whole milk also though. Maybe add formula to some actual milk OR your breast milk. Hope everything works out.
