I am wondering what others think about his idea. Recently my husband and I bought bikes and a seat for a child to sit on for one of them and the other one has a trailer for my other two kids to ride in. I am thinking about getting up early before my oldest girl goes to pre-k, she is 4. I am wanting to take her with me in the mornings when I go. But I am wondering if waking her up an hour before I usually do is bad or good for her?

I think the most important thing is whether your child will still get the recommended amount of hours of sleep. So if you want your kid to wake up earlier, he/she might need an earlier bedtime. If you can make this work without too much fuss, I say go for it, why not? If you find that it's too many changes and it's not going over well, then it might not be worth it. save the bike trip for the afternoon.

Well if you plan to make up for that hour of lost sleep with a earlier bed time I don't think it's a bad thing it'll be nice for her to get fresh air and time with mom. For the first few days she might be a bit crankier while she gets used to the new schedule so maybe start on a weekend instead of a day she has school.
