does anyone have any suggestions on how to ease the pain when your baby is teething?

My son loves frozen fruit in a mesh feeder! Teething tablets and tylenol helped us at night. Good luck and know that it does pass and your 'normal' baby will come back soon.

frozen binkies worked wonders for us. we would giveher teething tablets which work awesome and put a few binkies in the freezer and let her suck on them. also there is tooth and gum cleanser at walmart that comes with a little finger brush and if you put some orajel on it you can massage the gums with it.

Cold (not frozen) waffles just watch to make sure they don't swallow any pieces.

Well seeing as my son did not get any teeth until he was 9 mos and then got 6 at one time I will tell you what I did since he did not use anything that they are suppose to.... I would give him small pieces of fruit, cold juice or milk, teething tablets, tylenol before he went to bed almost every night, wet wash clothe, and then he started just being attached to his binkie and blanket. Unfortunantly it is one of those things that you just have to grit your teeth and bare through it. There were many sleepless or rough nights but within a couple months he got what hurt in and now he sleeps through the night. Sorry hope you get through it!
