Hi everyone. I need some advice. My 14 month old is getting 3 of her molars all at once, and she is in soo much pain i'm not sure what else to do. She has been running a temp for a week now. I took her in to the dr. to make sure it wasn't anything more serious and they couldn't find anything. But they told me to give her Tylenol every 4 hours, and Advil in between. I have been doing that, but she isn't fully breaking her temp. She cries all day long, not sleeping through the night, she doesn't want to put anything in her mouth so relieve the pain and is getting to the point now that i have to force her to take her medicine. I've tried the numbing creams, teething rings she won't even think of putting in her mouth, freezies(she doesn't like them), cold cloth to chew but again doesn't want to put anything in her mouth. My other girls never had this problem. So please if anyone could help me out here i would really appreciate some ideas....She has also lost her appetite and will only eat pureed fruits, and yogurt.

Oh boy teething is not a fun phase :(( are u sure its teething issues? Cause I was told by my pedi that teething does not cause fever?? Especially for a week now u said? U should get a second opinion, but don't mention teething just say your child is very fuzzy/cranky and has a fever for about a week not sure what it could be... Try to rule out bladder infection, etc... Reason I say this as well my last child was very cranky and broke into a fever and not sure what was wrong with him, they ran tests at hospital and he got diagnosed with bilateral pee reflux?? Basically he wasn't peeing all out, some was going up flow up to the kidneys but he got put on meds and monitored by pedi and a urologist and all is well now ...if all gets ruled out and it's teething try a warm cloth instead of cold, my first child hated anything cold, but anything warm he fount it soothing.. As well teething toys place them in hot water for a minute then let her chew on them, never heat on a microwave . Hope that helps!

Thank you! She broke her fever a couples days after i posted this. Which is a bonus, but she is still super cranky/fussy. I can see that there is a little white showing, so hopefully this will be all over soon. I took her into the dr. for the 2nd time and they as well told me it was teething. It's just been the worst experience ive ever had with teething. I will try doing the warm teething ring and see if that helps. Thank you so much for your help! And i'm glad to hear that your little one is now better. I guess you can never to cautious with your children, because you just never know now a days! Thank you again!
