I have a 9 month old. She is teething big time. I love this little girl and she is my world. i hate seeing her in pain like this. This phase is so hard and being a stay at home mom is a bit hard at times. Which I'm sure is always hard at times. Now, this phase has made me second guess having a second child. Am I a bad person? I've always pictured myself with 2 or more kids. People do it all the time so it can't be too too bad. I just don't really know what to do. I know it'll pass and it will get better but it's so hard. I just sit and cry when she's going to bed and screaming and fussy all day. I don't know what to think or what to do. I've tried everything. Nothing seems to work. I would like to know how some other moms out there deal with it. I feel like a bad parent & selfish.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for your reply and kind words. It is a tough job this parenting stuff.

Some days are harder than others I suppose.

Thanks so much :)

right know you cant imagine another child because your going through a tough time.. when it all passes you will get that feeling of wanting another and you will forget about all the tough times. ( or you might not and one child will make you happy, which is perfect too!) Think about the labour.. I know after mine I said "NEVER AGAIN" now I look at my son and forget all about that and think , in the end this is all worth it.

Jack is only 5 1/2 months but he has been teething for the past month. We had a bad week in the beginning but I kept trying things over and over and constantly something new ( even different tethers) till I found something he likes. It ended up being he likes this tether shaped like a soother, munching on a bottle full of cold water and sometimes just a long snuggling time on the couch with some music playing or TV on.

When he was fussy and crying at bed time I tried playing music in his room and it works like a charm, I turn it off when he is asleep.

Times get tough, its part of being a parent and you definitely need your time too. Don't ever feel like your a bad parents because your not... wanting your baby girl to be happy is not selfish. Its also normal to feel these things, I do sometime too. I think we all do.

hope this helps and you find the thing that works for you guys.
