Hey all,
So I am a mother of a little girl who just turned two and soon expecting another baby. Today I had to get a new drivers license at the dmv and toddler decides to throw a huge fit. What should I do in times like that? I cant put her in time out in the store or whatever. Im just at a loss and at my wits end. please help!

Why can't you put her in a time out when you're out? There's always a corner or wall to stand her by and if you're consistent about using them at home then they will still be effective when you're out, in fact if you're not using them when you're out and she figures that out then you're in for a world of hurt since it seems trying our patience and testing our boundaries is a 2 year olds favourite past time! LOL Good luck Mamma.

those are so embarassing. I know how you feel. When my oldest was going through the terrible twos, he would throw himself down in the middle of the floor and start banging his head on the floor right in the middle of a store. I have always found it best to try to get them to the restroom (preferably a family one if the store has one, so there aren't any people around) and get them to calm down there. Usually once the child doesn't have an audience any more, then tend to settle down.
