TERRIBLE TWOS?

My so is 22 months old. I get that he is starting his terrible twos, but come on really?! He pretty much screams ALL day most days. I have tried ignoring him when he throws his tantrums, I have also try to distract him from what ever he can't do or have that he wants. Nothing works. He has started waking up several time in the middle of the night screaming at the top of his lungs, and won't let me console him. I get that he is going to have fits, but it is literally all day and all night most of the time.
He was having some stomach issues. We went to his Dr. and she seems to think that nothing is wrong with him. She called it toddler diarrhea. I have cut back on a few things in his diet and he seemed to get better for a few days, but he is back to having diarrhea several times a day. And I feel that the night waking has something to do with this also.
Advice please!

Just wondering how much juice and what kind of juice he's drinking. Both my girls (2 & 7) can not have apple juice or they have th runs and bad stomach aches. Besides that I have no other thoughs but do wish yo best of luck and am sorry to hear your going through this, I know it's hard.

When I took him to the Dr she looked to see if it could be his molars. She didn't seem to think they are coming in, but I disagree. We are also on a pretty strict diet. We cook almost all of our food and try to stay away from all processed food. I do give him gold fish and crackers.
Lisa, I am going to try throwing away his toys. He has been doing the same thing for a while now.
The last two nights he has been waking up at 5:30 in the morning wanting something to eat and drink then he goes back to sleep for an hour or so.
Dad has just changed jobs and is home a lot more now. I think he is acting out for his dad too. He isn't used to him being home.
He is wearing me out!

I agree with the molars. We got very strick on diet around our house and that helped our 2 1/2 year old also. No more juice or fruit snacks. Juice gave him horrible diarrhea. We also had to come down hard on grandparents about juice and snacks. MIL would give the kids marshmellows as a snack.
I also started religously reading labels and do not allow anything in the house that has high fructose corn syrup.

Is he screaming for any particular reason or screaming just to scream?

Our 2 1/2 year old just went through a phase of throwing things anytime he got mad and then would scream at me. I started throwing whatever he would throw away and today he started to get mad and I saw he was going to throw his cup and then he stopped.

I was JUST going to say the same thing about the molars. Try giving him Tylenol (off brand).

My daughter also 2 starts screaming when she is either tired or hungry. She is constantly hungry so that could be one problem.
But I would try the pain reliever first.

He could possibly be getting his 2 year molars in. That would make him very cranky, wake at night from pain, and have diarrhea.
