I bought Wii fit and the board with BIG plans to use it everyday......well that didn't happen lol.The yoga is REALLY helpful and makes me feel great and the aerobics could be good if you did them enough. As for everything else...it lacks.I would invest in wii fit plus...I hear good things!

I have one and I really do enjoy doing it... I started it not too long ago. It works as long as you keep at it. Just like anything else it's all about being consistent .

If you take 30 minutes out of your day every day or at least a few days a week it is worth it I think. I use it to stay in shape. I can stay in my house, watch my son, and have fun while working out. I have the Wii fit plus, which has extra games and you can set up a workout routine. I like the yoga the best. My sister in law uses it too and she has a beautiful shape.

We don't have the wii fit , but we have the wii and I have to say it is ALOT of fun and you do feel it working your muscles. However, finding the time to play it is a whole other issue. I have five kids and I feel as if I rarely get to relax, so even if it is worth the money, if you don't think that you can make time to actually do it, I wouldn't invest in one. Also, I am too overweight, but you have to remember not to beat yourself up to much... you're a mom and not only does that take a tole on your body it makes you tired beyond belief. Just take small steps to get in shape and don't hate yourself. Work on a positive self image no matter what you look like :)

My husband bought me the Wii Fit and I love it. We turned it into a fun group thing. My best friend (a male) comes over and does it with us and I actually lost 20 lbs with it. Only problem is I then got pregnant again, so I'm not losing anymore weight. :-) But my 2 year old loves to watch me play and my 3 year old likes to do the hula hop exercise. It's really great. :-)

We bought Wii Fit for my son's grandparents and they love it. I would eventually like to get for us because it is very fun and motivating. My son is only 3 and loves playing it. He beats me in bowling all the time and likes to run and do yoga with his Nana.

I got the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas and totally love it! I get on it and do the initial weigh in, BMI, balance check and Wii Fit age thing. Then I move on and do some yoga and strength training, and then I do my absolute favorite thing on there...step (think dance revolution). It is so much fun to try to keep up with them and do it at exactly the same time, really gets you going. But there are tons of different things to do. My husbands favorite is the ski jump, 12 yr old girl's fave; obsticle course, 9 yr old boy; same, 4 yr old girl; hula hoop and my 3 yr old boy is in love with the snowball fights! So, there is something for everyone.
I don't know if it is good as a tool to lose weight, but I can say that after the first real "workout" on it, I was totally sore! The best part is that you don't even feel like you're exercising.

I don't have the wii fit, but do have a couple other wii exercise ones I like. I too do not like the shape I am in and wanted to change things. One thing I did not want to do was buy something expensive and not use it or only use it for a short time. When I had first started getting into shape I LOVE to walk so I started just getting into a routine of setting aside time in my day to exercise (walk). Once I had been doing this 5 days a week for a month then I rewarded myself with either new exercise clothes or a new thing to exercise with. One of my rewards was getting the Wii My Fitness Coach. All you need is the remote, so I thought that was good (only had to pay for the game). I LOVE IT!! It keeps you motivated, but not feeling out of shape or overweight so you don't get frustrated and give up. It really works you out, but allows you to go at your own pace. I like to feel like I have worked out, but don't want to die doing it. This does a great job with that. It also allows you to work out different areas (cardo, upper, lower, core, and flexibility). I just recently got the Your Shape for the Wii, but have not tried it yet. I was liking the fact that it will show you if you are doing an exercise wrong and help you correct it.

I dont think its negativity just the truth. I have 3 kids of my own and watch 2 others soon to be 3 others. So finding time is always a problem. Since like you i am not a wake up earlier than everyone else girl i would maybe last 1 day but i even doubt that. I have a 9 month old daughter who still gets up 3 to 4 times a night. I take any sleep i can get. LOL. Thanks for the comments!

Wii is awesome and we use it often but I have a really hard time self motivating. B/c I am so busy with my 2 toddlers I haven't got into it like I wanted to. I had all these ideas that I could do it with my kids but they just seem to get in the way, want to stand on the board and wnat my attention. I would love to do it during the hour of nap time I have but I find myself busy with household needs or I'm too tired to do anything and should nap myself. After 8 I'm too tired to get a good workout and I'm not a morning person. I know that all these things sound like excuse after excuse but I've talked to other moms about working out and they say "working what???" But if you can make it a priority Go For It. Wii Fit in particular lets you choose what you want to do but I'm not a fitness trainer and don't know what activities to do. Also the excersizes are not really intense and really quick. Doesn't seem like a good workout. Wii Fit Plus has different features that I dont' have. It might strengthen some of these weaknesses. I do like the weigh tracker and goal tracker. It helps you to see what you've accomplished. I would go to nintendo and check out the features or go to a review site. Good luck and sorry for the negetivity. If you can self motivate its a great tool and my hubby (not an excersizer) love it and uses it more than me!
