Too much Energy.

My son is 3 and a half and he has so much energy.. Sometimes way to much even for him. Everyone tells me its because he is a boy but I am still not sure if that is the answer.. I know he can sit still and listen and he is not hyper like a boy that has ADD but there is this question in me of why so energetic.

I would also be mindful of how much fruit you give him. With my oldest he could eat an apple and bounce off the walls. His dr told me that the natural sugars in fruit can make them hyper. My kids love carrot sticks with a ranch dressing. It makes a great snack!

Do you allow him to have a lot of junk foods? This is the main cause for hyper-activity in children. Watch the foods you give him, stray away from things like donuts, kool-aid, candy. Give him fresh fruits/veggies for snacks and water/milk to drink.

Being 3 he is going to seem to have endless energy but if you limit the sugars in his diet he will probably calm down quite a bit.
