With X-mas and his 1 st birthday soon, what are some great 1 year old toys for my son? I'd like to know what your kids liked and didn't like for what's out there.. Thanks!

my son loves his sand and water table. its a table is split down the middle and you can fill half with sand n half water. We just give him the hose and he fills it up and it comes with water toys and sand toys, funnels and spouts and all sorts of things. He also loves his push along bike,he just sits there while we walk behind and push him with the handle. He thinks he is riding.

My son likes things he can mess with, like buttons and knobs and stuff like that. He loves drums! We have this little electronic drum set that he likes to bang on with the drumsticks. He also likes books with simple words and pictures. If you want to get a "big" toy, one that's expensive, check thrift and consignment stores. You'll save a ton of money and your son won't even notice it's not new, it's new to him and that's all that matters! You can always take him shopping with you and let him play with toys at the store and get the ones he seems to like. Just put them away till Christmas when you get home.

My 15 month old loves her laugh and learn house. It is kind of pricey, but pretty awesome. She also loves her tent with balls in it, it is an Elmo theme. For Christmas we got a toy car off free cycle. We covered the whole thing in fabric using upholstery staples. It is now her favorite toy. She just climbs in and out and makes car noises.

I just bought my son the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Musical Table for his first birthday and he LOVES it.

There's all kinds of toys that makes noises, such as ones that will play the abcs, count, and sing. My son really likes them. There's also riding toys for his age. They already mentioned balls, blocks, and others.

My son is 14mo and loves things like balls, blocks, toys he can bang together. Just simple stuff. At this age theres no point in going all out and spending loads of money on things for them.

My lil one is getting mostly clothes for Christmas. He's not going to care what he's getting and we are just wrapping those things because he will enjoy tearing the paper.
