Im a first time mom so im learning as I go. my son does well going on his potty during the day minus a few accidents here and there but does well overall. During the day he is in what we call big boy underwear. When we get ready for bed I make him go on the potty and I still put a diaper on him. How do you know when he is ready.

If you listen children tell you what they want. He'll start feeling like a sissy or baby and won't want them to be like his friends. How many adults do you know who've worn diapers all their life? . You're so lucky. I'm transitioning from underwear to diapers.

I didn't bother trying to drop the night time diaper until our kids were waking up dry consistently. Try checking your son in the morning before he wakes up though because it's quite common for kids to stay dry all night and then pee in their diaper as soon as they wake up.

Well, if he is still soaking his nappy at night (is it soaked every morning?) he isn't ready yet. You will only make it hard on yourself if you try to remove the night nappies before he is ready. Both my kids started having dry nappies about half the time around 3 1/2, and that was when I started night training. They trained quite quickly once they showed they could be dry most of the time.

How old is he? He may not be ready yet. I would only take him out of nappies at night if he is dry around 50% of the time in the mornings. That is a sign of readiness.

Try get a waterproof protector for the bed and give him his last drink an hour before bed Hun, and don't let him wear a nappy to bed as that may confuse him why he's in and out of nappies xxx gd luck xx
