How old was your child when you first took him/her trick or treating? And do you think a 15 month old is to young for it?

I took my daughter at 8 months. We only went to a couple houses and even those were family or friends. But I think whenever you want to start go for it!

Yes I think it's way too young. I personally don't allow either of my children to participate in trick or treating I fell it goes against us always telling them NOT to talk to stranger but we encourage trick or treating where not only are they talking to strangers they are taking lollies etc from them too...

I took my 10 month old up to the daycare I used to work at so he could be in the Halloween parade. He got a lollipop. I let him have it, supervised of course! He had fun. Then we spent the night passing out candy to the "big kids". I'll take him trick-or-treating next year when he can walk!

i js took my almost 11 month old and she seemded to really enjoy it a lot...she was adorable in a little ladybug outfit. i;s your choice and they will understand more as they get older. if they're with mom&dad or js one of you guys, they will feel really safe even though they're scared...it's what we're here for. hope you had a great holiday

We took our 10 month old. It was more for show and fun than for real trick-or-treating. We wanted the friends to see his costume and took him to the carnivals for the baby rides and fun houses. We didn't give him any of the candy though; he doesn't know what it is anyway.

Never too young!! As long as they don't get scared by anything I guess....!! Even if they can't walk yet it's still a fun activity to do :-)

I took my 6 month old daughter out for her first halloween. She was dressed up like a butterfly. She thought it was neat to see all the people dressed up. We only did a few houses before she fell asleep then we just gave the candy to our friends daughter who was 3 at the time. I figure why not? It's something fun to do even if you only go for 20 minutes.

I think when the kid can walk it's ok to take them trick or treating. Since Holloween is all about candy and they do get a lot, just limit how much candy they can have. I hope you have a wonderful holloween, stay safe!!!
