Trying to potty train my 28 month-old daughter any suggestions?

Patience is the one suggestion I have for you. Potty training is a huge, fun, frustrating journey that the whole family goes on. If your daughter is showing interest in the potty, then absolutely go for it. Buy the big girl panties and the put those diapers out of sight. I am a cold turkey potty trainer. I find that for all the kids I have nannied for, it works the best once they have truly shown interest in the potty. The only exception being bedtime. I also tend to use my bribing skills to help the process along. I use M&M's or Skittles to help motivate those little munchkins. Other kids might require small toys as their reward. Lots and lots of positive encouragement from the whole family goes a long way with the little ones. Feelings of pride help them want to continue to have successes. I only positive reinforcement while potty training. Negative consequences tend to be less successful and don't help the child stay motivated to use the potty. And again, PATIENCE. This can be a quick process, or a long process. But being patient and helping your little one develop the skill of recognizing when she needs to go, and having a successful trip to the bathroom will happen. Good luck!

Thank you so much. I've heard some people train their kids in three days and they stop diapers. Well this will be and interesting journey thanks again :)
