Has any one used vanilla extract for teething? I was given the advise but many things haven't worked for my 9mth old. The teething tablets seem to be pointless for him, although it works for my friends baby. Let me know if this has work for any one please!!! Thanks for your time!

Friend of mine just recommended it! She said it works for her. I'm going to try it myself tomorrow. :-)

never heard of that before but hey its worth a try I say..lol I know that not everything works for every baby the same with my oldest the tablets worked but my middle no just made her so sleepy and she slept all the time and I didn't like it if she wasn't sleeping she was groggy and so i stuck to reg infant pain med. You can also freeze a banana and peel and let him eat it it gets mushy and forms to gums and helps a little. Have a cloth (washrag) that you can wet with cool water and let him suck the water and bite the rag it will help some too. Good Luck teething is lots of fun! ;)

Never tried that. We use the homeopathic teething gel, and a wet washcloth (baby kind) -- it doesn't even have to be chilled, she just likes to have something to suck on.
