We're moving. What should I do?

My husband recently got 5 job offers...in Georgia. We live in Connecticut, close to my son's favorite babysitter, our church family, and a small support network. On the other hand though, because my husband has a felony on his record, he can't get a job or an apartment. We're living in a hotel efficiency with 2 children under 3. These job offers are a God send, proof that He exists.

But what should I expect?

My son is 28 months old and is very prone to defiance (slapping, backtalk, etc.) and does express his stress. My daughter is only 9 months old and is much more active than I was expecting. She also voices stress... loudly. I don't know how to explain the big move to my son since he doesn't seem to understand much beyond a couple sentences but I don't want him to be unprepared.

Another factor is the travelling. We both don't do planes (I've never been on one and fear flying, my husband has and doesn't trust the people flying them) so we'll be driving. It's a 14+ hour drive, something my kids aren't used to. I'm so confused and torn.

What should I do???

You sound like you are just being very negative when God blesses you, you have to take the good with the bad. Nothing in life is going to be handed to you on silver platter. You can maybe map out some nice stops and viewings and turn it into a fun road trip. You are on the internet now maybe googling or going on pinterest to find ways to make a road trip easier for you children. Try being a little bit positive and you say your two year old is prone to defiance, some kids are you have to teach him constructive ways to release stress he shouldn't be hitting and slapping that is not OK. Your 9 month old is more active you can also look at that as a good thing because some people don't get to see their kids walk or talk so don't take that for granted. Just basically be more positive and things wont be so bad.

I have sympathy. You sound like a good mommy who cares a lot. This sounds VERY stressful! I believe that because you care so much that this will give you the ability to overcome this situation. Your faith sounds strong. Keep relying on God and he will see you through this. You've been brave for quite awhile now. Hang in there - it sounds like better days are ahead soon! :)
