my son has been on solids now for a month or so , i started him off with only a few spoons and increased the ammount gradually , but i am concerned although hes been on these foods for over a mnth that he has been having a variety such as fruit veg and meats , i have only just realised that maybe meats aren`t supposed to be included into his diet at the start? im worried this could be bad for my lil man?

we skipped purees and started at 6month with finger food (google 'Baby-Led Weaning' or join the community on here) and a big finger of steak was one of the first foods bub had. no need for iron fortified cereals if they are given iron in other forms. Chicken is another fave but breast can be a bit dry and hard to swallow.

my sons pediatrician told us to start with veggies and work with colors like greens like peas, or green beans, then oranges like carrots or squash. hes now on fruit. and on the baby food it says the ages the baby should be eating certain things. baby food was so confusing for me at first and somethings still get me. but i bugg his doc with questions that helps lol

You can limit them but I wouldn't completely take them away unless you feel there's reason to?!

Good luck!
