I started making headbands for my 6 month old daughter and have been given the idea to start selling them. I was wondering if anyone knew of any crafty sites like etsy where I could sell them?

Etsy and Artfire are both good. You will want to look into the new CPSIA rules before you start selling.

I recently discovered the website www.lajuliet.com. LaJuliet is for jewelry and hair accessories only, and therefore it is easier for customers to find your products.
They do not charge any listing or re- listing fees, and commission fees.
Also, they offer right now the first three months of a membership for free.
You should definitely take a look at it.

I realize that this is a very late reply, but I am new here and just noticed the post.

I actually just started a website, Mom's Workshop, where moms can post ads for free. It is a website that features everything made by moms. In addition, moms that provide specialized services can also post ads about their services.

I am just getting started on this, so as you can imagine I am a little excited to talk about it.

Anyways, good luck with the headbands and let us know where you ended up posting them.

Etsy is a great one to sell on, so is ebay, also-- if your community has an online sell/trade website like used(community).com, kijiji.ca, or craigslist.org are great free options. Ask friends to set up a table at any garage sales they have, or rent a small table at the local saturday market maybe? Flea markets and community garage sales (say in the local church?) are great options too! Hope this helps.
