Been having this problem with my daughter. She is breastfed and does not drink much out of her sippy yet, so I am doing a jar of prunes at each meal until her stools are good (soft) and then I do a jar of prunes each day to keep her regular.

I agree, pear or prune juice mixed with water, half and half. Both of those cause major movements round here! doesn't take much either...

Apple juice once in a while keeps my girl regular.

Pear Juice mixed 50/50 with nursery water, Prunes (very high fiber) I have only been able to find them in Gerber 1st foods. Pear baby food helps as well. With my daughter we took baked beans and mashed the heck out of them.

If this is a normal problem you may want to look at the formula your baby is on. (If on formula) it could be the milk based or the amount of iron in the formula. Simulac advanced is known to give constipation b/c of it's high amount of iron in it. Both my children are Lactose intolerant and when we moved to gentlease by enfamil for my daughter and Simulac Sensitive for my sone I saw results very quickly. You may want to talk to your peditritian about milk allergies as well. They will have to take a sample of your infants stool and run a test to see if there is any blood in the stool (It won't be visable). When your LO gets older there are millions of options to help with constipation. Sorry if I babbled... my friends call me the poop queen LOL!

Apple juice. Worked like a charm for our LO. If your's is anything like ours, make sure you have plenty of wipes.

We started with 2 oz as well and saw "results" in a couple hours.

Apple sauce works the opposite way, just FYI. ;)

Pear juice, about 2 oz. once or twice a day. It was a suggestion from my Pediatrician and worked very well

for my son. I used Gerber pear juice. May take a day

or so before it starts to help. Good luck and i hope it

helps =-)
