My 7 year old son has bumps all over his body. I have 2 other sons, myself and my husband that live in the same home as well with no bumps. They look like little red bite marks but when I look close i can not see an actual "bite" area on the bump. He says they do not itch. I have tried benadryl, poison oak cream, neosporen and nothing seems to help. This has been going on for several weeks now. At first we thought it could be something from the playground at school but school has been out for 2 weeks now and he is getting new bumps still. We have 2 indoor cats so I thought it could be fleas but no one else in the house has any bite marks. Has anyone ever had this problem? We have an appointment with the pediatrician on Thursday but I am too curious to wait. I just hope they don't send him to an allergist where he will get pricked with all those needles.

Had he recently been given antibiotics or had strep throat? My daughter got a bumpy rash all over her body when she was diagnosed with strep throat. At first the Dr thought it was an allergic reaction to the antibiotics but it turns out you can develop a 'bumpy rash' when you come down with strep throat. Consider that when speaking with the pediatrician.

Hi my son inherited skin allergies f Rom his father. Looks kinda like a rash? Gavin gets it a lea s t once a week. His doctor prescribed zrytech. Although I don't give it to him often because I don't want his body used to medicine it seems to help. However I think the" breakout" bothers me more than it does him. Hope this helps. Good luck
