How long has it been going on? My daughter would get loose stools and diaper rash during teething. She was also on an antibiotic for a time that made her stools really runny. I agree with Judy....Desitin on the sore spots, then I put vaseline on top of that to keep the moisture away and keep it from rubbing off on the diaper. Really works!

Apple Juice! (or something else they are ingesting) My daughter had the same thing and I figured out that it was the apple juice. I googled it and lots of others have had the same issue. Hope this helps.

probably a stomach virus that will run it's course. The stool in highly acidic so it is tearing up the skin on the butt making it terribly sore. Get a thick diaper rash cream like destin and keep applying it liberally until the diarrhea goes away and skin heals. A&D ointment works well too. Go to a BRAT diet to help the stools thicken. If the rash keeps coming back, you may need to consider a food reaction. By process of elimination you can figure out what food is irritating the bowels. I had one child who couldn't eat anything with a tomato base in it.
