If you are on a low income I recommend saving for a menstrual cup if you can. They are around 40 bucks and can be used for up to 5 years. Since it's reusable you will be saving money in the long run. All I buy is a box of panty liners as mild back up for the heavy days.
I always buy the store brand for stuff when I can. Dollar stores here are amazing. I have certain household items I refuse to buy anywhere else like paper towels, air freshener, cooking utensils, garbage bags, dish soap, etc.
We live on just my husbands income and rent + bills takes almost all the money so I try to get deals where ever I can.

It's a gift card. It's your job to support your children, you shouldn't be relying on gift cards to do it.

You don't need juice - children can drink water, so I'd cut that out.
Instead of diaper wipes, if you want to save money, purchase reusable cloths and wash them out. Or even better, you can cut up old flanelette sheets to make cloths to use for this purpose.
Snacks can be made cheaply, rather than buying them pre-packaged.
You can reuse plastic shopping bags as trash bags as much as possible.

There are lots of ways to save money on the things you are buying.

I agree with Jodi...no juice. A very expensive drink full of calories and hard on the pancreas. My 4 year old has only ever had water and it might have been one of the best decisions I ever made with him! Cheap snacks would be in season fruit. Popcorn (not microwave) quesadillas...cheese by the block and flour tortillas...my son loves these things. You do need the pads:) And what about a homemade dish soap? I make my own laundry soap and the savings are amazing!

We are on a tight budget too and I usually go a month ahead of time and set my budget so I wont overspend in certain areas and that I know everything is taken care of. Usually if my hubby (Im a stay at home momma) gets paid say 10 or even a couple dollars more in a week, I take that money and get extras for the home, I dont just go blow it say on a pop or something (that is easy for some to do). Dish soap is just a dollar at the dollar tree so even making 1 extra dollar in a week can help you stock up on needs for the home, you just have to set a budget and stick with it and anything extra save for emergencies or if you need to buy extra stock or things you just need for yourself or home, even if its saving 5 dollars a week it is something and it all adds up for the times you need something asap. As for things being more important that others Id put baby's food, not snacks, but actual meals and milk/juice/water comes first. Then diapers/wipes, then sanitary needs, etc I agree with the others just dont buy things that are luxury first, get the cheapest (best) brand of what you need and try to buy in bulk, you might have to put a little more money out in the beginning but you are saving money in the long run. Also Get the sundays paper, clip coupons, even the dollar store has coupons, you can really save just getting the coupons and comparing the diff. ads. Like at Kroger one week I got handsoap for 35 cents a bottle! Had a coupon and it doubles (50 cents and under) so I hardly payed anything for it. Its just setting a strict budget and keeping ahead of the game when possible. Hope you the best I know its hard being on budget, but dont stress, because it ALWAYS always works out, God does many wonders and if you just look to Him, He will never let you go without. God bless you!
