my daughter used to puke like that too. my doctor told me to switch her to soy formula. because the formula i was using was messing up her tummy and she could digest it very well so she would puke like crazy...well like u said "like the exorsist" it scared me cause she wouldnt stop! id try switching the formula. but talk to your doctor first.

All good advice posted so far. They can get dehydrated very quickly. It could also be a matter of using the wrong type of formula too. His tummy may have become sensative to it. It is always a good idea to check with your pediatrician, especially with little ones. Be sure he still has wet diapers, so you know he is not getting dehydrated.

Chinyere, there is a flu going around and both my granddaughter my husband and I had it, usually lasts about 24 hours but we had stomaches for a week. Give him clear liquids, no milk, and gradually add back the milk. If you need any more help let me know.

Depends on what kind of throw up it is, our ped has said that if the vomit is projectile and can reach over a metre to get bubs checked. also if they vomiting over half of their feed for the last 3 feeds they need to be checked too, do it sooner than later coz it can be very easy for them to dehydrate. x

i would agree with kassi, my first son did that often, the first time it scared the crap out of me cause he made funny gurgling noises too, as if he was possessed! but i think it is normal, just their body's way of saying they were too piggish and ate too much, and tummy needs to get rid of a significant amount to feel better....If it persists, see your Ped if you're that worried :) good luck!

What is he doing when he throws up? Cause sometimes it is because they ate to much or they are crying to hard. He may have a belly ache
