I talked to my boss and explained that I am planning a baby for next month and would prefer to start working from home. I have a stressful job so I believe it will be easier at home as I won't feel the pressure from the office. My boss totally agrees. Is it possible and effective to work from home? Thanks :*

I've been working from home for over 4 years. Being organized and disciplined is key. You really have to create your own schedule and stick to it and get house chores done around this. It's great but at the same time, I would say the negative part is that you see everything that needs to be done and want to do it, and before you know it...time flies by and you didn't get your work done! I have three kids under 7. My son is in school. I run 2 businesses from home and have my two youngest at home with me. So setting hours that you can work around the kids schedule and bedtimes and being disciplined to get things done when you set those hours. The thing I like the most is having options. Being home allows you to prepare for important outings, suppertime, doing homework with your kids. You save on food costs cause you have time to prep and eat less take-out$, can do laundry during the day.. save on gas$$..etc

Hi there!! I'm Diana, I can tell you that it has worked for me. I tried many jobs , before but nothing worked, the hours weren't right, the money wasn't enought to afford baby sitting, and the house will go out of control. Working from home works, but you must set your own work hours, or else is easy to get distracted by other things, and not accomplish much, you must have time menagement skills, other than that it;s worked grat for me I love it every day.
