What is the best time of sling to wear your baby in?

I want to wear my son more since he does not nap much during the day and I can't seem to get much done. I have the Kangaroo pouch and he does not like it. Anyone have some good ideas of what kind sling he might like?

I never tied a sling, I used a wrap (moby wrap or a cuddly wrap). My son loved it, and so far my daughter seems to like it as well (she's only been in twice tho :P ). They are very comfortable and keep the baby's weight centered on your body.

I made my own all the ones in the store did not work as well. I bought 5 yards of fabric at walmart on sale and made 2 for under 7 bucks the fabric works best if it has a little stretch to it. Here is a helpful link. http://www.nandu.hu/english/practical/ba... I used the first example for 13 months with my younger one since they were just a year apart it was hard to carry one and hold the hand of a stumbler at the same time. This way I always had 2 hands avaiable. Hope this helps

the moby wrap is safer and more versitile, I also found it easier to put the baby in, and nurse in.

Have you tried a ring sling? I looked into getting one when I was pg with DS but he ended up being sick and on a monitor and O2 so I wasn't able to freely carry him around.

I was going to try to make one like Sunni suggested, its MUCH cheaper and you can size it to fit you, which was a big plus for me as I'm very tiny and store bought ones just aren't comfortable for me.
