simple food and whatever you're eating mostly. just scaled down to their size. avoid things that are choking hazards and allergens. most kids don't like thing spiced too strongly, but try it and see. my kids love Korean food, better than any other kind. spicy and everything. so try it and see, is a good rule of thumb. oh and if they reject it once, don't give up. keep trying now again. they will change their mind.

Offer what you are having. Just stay away from nuts, nut butters, and any other foods that YOUR family has a history of allergies with. Try to keep things as close to natural as you can, meaning avoid the sugar and salt as much as possible.

Mine love fresh fruit, just ripe veggies, tender lean meats, grains (I only offer whole grains). They are now 5 and almost 3, but this is what we have most of the time now. They did not start off loving this stuff, but they did enjoy playing with and trying everything.

Just make healthy choices and offer what you are having. Have fun with this, it's all experimenting for them at this point.
