I have found that my 17 year old daughter adores my almost 8 month old and its so adorable at times. I wonder if there's a mother out there that is going through very similar things with their children and that have a large gap between their same sexed children or not? My oldest is turning my youngest into a camera ham and its so adorable that I just want to tear up every time there's a cute photo taken of them together or individually!!!

I have two daughters at age 25 and 22 and they love, love, love my two youngest daughters at age 12 and 10. They take them to eat, shop, and spend great quality time with them. Also in turn, both older daughters have sons one is 2 1/2 and the other is 5 months and my younger daughters love, love, love them. It is all a great blessing. ( I also have a son right smack in the middle at age 21)

Well my children aren't the same sex, but my step daughter is 8 years older than my 19 month old son. I can definitely say that she adores her little brother. Before I was pregnant with him my daughter and I didn't have the best relationship, it was my first experience with a boyfriend who had a kid. I wasn't quite sure how to be a step mom. When I was pregnant, on my wedding day I was talking to a guest about how her and I didn't always get along the greatest and the guest said "Once you have that baby that little girl is going to adore you." I didn't believe her because how things were at the time. It is one of those situations where I thought to my self "what do you know?" Well after my sons birth i learned that guest couldn't have been more right. My son has brought me and my daughter so much closer. Just writing this is making me tear up, I love her just as much as if she were my own, she's my Katie bug. She adores me and her little bother, and I feel so blessed for that!
