We will be flying to TN and also Canada this summer and my daughter will be 10 months old at that time. I was wondering what should I make sure to have and also what should I expect? I just wanna make this trip as smooth as possible. Thank you for any advice!

i traveled across country (over 2000 miles in a car from kentucky to california) with my son in january when my husband got his orders to be stationed in san diego. my son was 10 months at the time and he was great! i kept his sippy cup and snacks handy, stopped every few hours to check diapers and get out of the car.. the only thing he didnt like was when it came time for him to be in bed, he was ready to be IN BED. the crying would start until i parked the car at the next hotel i could find for the night.

flying is a different story. a friend of mine lives in hawaii and flies in regularly to kentucky to visit family and she said her little girl was an angel. no problems at all. id say, to be safe, have a dr check their ears before the flight. ear infections and such can get worse with the change in altitude.

just hope for the best and be prepared for anything! good luck!
