what I have heard is that if you have sex in the missionary position then you are more likely to have a boy ... if you have sex with woman on top you have a higher chance of a girl.

First of all be happy that you can conceive a child at all. I have difficulty getting pregnant and would love to be able to conceive on the first try. You need to be happy with whatever gender you get, I know I am.
Second, check out the Shettles method. It might give one gender of sperm an advantage over the other. Basically, per this method, boy sperm live shorter lives but swim faster than girl sperm. So keep having intercourse until after you ovulate and you are supposed to have a greater chance of a boy.

Count your blessings as blessings, period. As Sarah mentioned, many many women out there only dream to just conceive on their own. Best of luck and be grateful to experience the miracle of life regardless of gender.

There are a lot of theories on how to concieve a girl or a boy, but really they are just theories. You have to be ok with getting what you get and not throwing a fit (this is what I tell my kids). Count your blessings. You may hope and wish for a certain gender (which is perfectly normal), but be thankful you are able to have a child and the miracle that child is, no matter the gender. There are many people that just wish that they would be able to conceive a child.

I've never heard of any way to increase the chances of having a boy except for through Gender Selection. To do that, you give the doctor several eggs and your husband gives his sperm to fertilize the eggs. They are fertilized in the lab and allowed to incubate for several days until 8-cell embryos have been created. The doctors then evaluate the embryos to determine the sex (they look for genetic diseases as well), then the doctors insert the embryos of the desired sex (in your case, the boys) into the mother where they can fully develop in her womb. The procedure is still new in the US, so not many fertility clinics here offer it yet, but a few do. I don't know about other countries. My friend did it, she wanted a girl because she already had a boy and she had to go to California to get it done, but that was like 3 years ago.

This is an intersting theory. I haven't ever heard a way to garentee a specific sex of child born. As I see it, you have a 50/50 chance.
