My little boy,who is nearly 3,has just started nursery but only 1 day a week at the moment as we cant afford more than that yet. He goes on a thursday but would like to get a job to pay for a full 5 days which would cost £200...only problem is i left school early to live with my nan with the intention of finding a school there, but was told there were no places. I fell pregnant at 16 and am now 20 and feel that getting a job would be hard as no qualifications and no experience :( does anyone know what i can do as i dont want to keep my child home all week as he loves his nursery so much

the nursery he goes to is the cheapest 1 in our area and is only a few mins walk...i would love to go to college and am considering seeing if they have a creche for the other 4 days a week but i missed enrolling so will have to wait til next sept.

Wow 200 pounds is a lot! we live in NZ and are really lucky to get free childcare and kindy.

All i could suggest is think long term, get the qualifications you need so you can provide your son with what he needs further down the track. Are there any other child care options available to you? what about playgroups, gym classes other possibly cheaper ways of getting him involved with other kids.
