What activities do or did with your 10 month old. He he is finally rocking on his knees & can go in a circle. I have a small place so the living room has the most space. We play on the floor all day and I never know what to do. I tend to keep netflix on just for background noise or pandora. There is only so many chores to do around the house & things to do with your child before you are so completely bored ha ha. I need ideas.

Thank you for your ideas! I never thought about the library. I'm excited for the weather to warm up so we can go outside more.

J was about 10 months old when I started taking him to story times at local bookstores, libraries, and coffee shops. Most towns have a ton of them if you dig for them. You can also take him to parks, or walk with him through galleries and museums. Getting out of the house helped me a lot.....I admit that sometimes those outings were more for me than him...

You can also read to him while he's rolling and wiggling around on the floor. He's little now, but he will be aware of you, and in only a few months, your reading while he plays will start to have a big impact on his creative development. He will start working the story you are reading into his play. Now is the perfect time to start.

You can also do some mom&baby yoga or workouts, which are good for both you and him. Just be careful, there are a few out there that are not so safe for baby, so look over the routine and use your judgment--you'll know if something looks unsafe or if your body just can't handle that position without putting you at risk for dropping or falling with baby in your arms.

One last note, not sure if you are using Netflix for music or programing/movies, but definitely keep background noise geared toward music. Kids under 2 years shouldn't watch programming yet, and even if it is just on in the background and he is still playing, that is actually even worse than having him sit still and watch it. He is aware of it, and it is interrupting his natural thought process and mental development.
