Just found out that my husband hasn't been paying my credit cards - went to use it and it got denied - got home and found out no credit - maxed out and hasn't been paid in month's. My husband is incharge of bill paying. What should I do?? We have money in our check book but he won't let me use it to pay my credit card

you should really just talk to him maybe investigate and see were the money is accually going! and just remind him that you are married and if you're credit get's messed up it will affect him as well. that might make him think twice about not paying the bills. just because you stay home with the kids does not mean you can't be in charge of the money!!!

Is your name on those cards?? IF so he has just ruined your credit! Is it Joint checking? If so I'd write that check for the cards your name is on! If it's all on him let him ruin his credit but think about the future What if you want to buy a house? You can't w/ bad credit!

Hopefully you can sit down and discuss this w/ him but if he's unreasonable some times you have to be unreasonable too

I don't know how I would trust my husband with the finances if he pulled a stunt like that! Your husband needs to understand the damage he is doing to your credit history. Is it a joint account? If so, he is hurting himself as well. Call the credit card company and see if they will l lower the interest rate and stops using it until you can get it paid down. If you are working then I would get a separate checking account and start taking care of my own bills. If you don't work, then you need to have a serious talk with your husband about getting this debt paid off. You deserve to know why he hasn't been paying it. I hate to say it, but your husband not letting you use money in the checking account to pay the credit card is very controlling behavior. I would very be angry.

I would sit down and talk to him...explain to him how important it is to you.
