My son is almost 13 months old. however... he was born a month early (at 36 weeks). I read that when they are one years old and older, they become toddlers, is this true?

About the toddler question I always though when they start walking but not quite...when they try to walk...toddle giggles...they are offically A toddler...

Some people say once they turn 1 and other say once they are walking. I say both are right! :-) It makes sense because all kids meet their developmental milestones at different times. Like my son started walking at 9 months and appeared more like "a toddler" than most kids his age because of it so I can see why some say once they are walking that is considered to be a toddler.

I stand to be corrected but I think it's a stage after 'new born', which is after three months. If anyone sees it differently, then what is the stage between 4 and 12 months called?
