Hi, I stopped bleeding after a week with my first c-section and we were having sex from then on ( I never went into labor so my cervix never opened, my daughter was breech and the c-section was scheduled). I was breast feeding and we had decided to wait at least 9 months before trying for our second. We planned to have our children close together and when my daughter was 10 months old I fell pregnant with my second daughter. The only problem that I found having them close together was I was when I was around 10 weeks pregnant I was still breast feeding my eldest daughter and my milk dried up and I was losing weight because I couldn't keep up with the amount of calories needed to both breast feed and carry a baby. I healed really quickly with my first c-section and had no pain at all within a few weeks however with my second c-section due to my youngest also being breech I had more complications and had a lot of pain for about 3 months. My youngest is now 2 1/2 and we have only now just started thinking about trying to conceive again. =)

With all my children I got pregnant 3-4 months after each all born c/section. Only my fourth child was delivered naturally. it did takes its told on my body but like by obstetrician said your body wouldn't carry the pregnancy or conceive if it couldn't handle it.
so whenever you feel ready start trying for another

Added note: if your asking if you can get pregnant this soon... yes you can.. but I'd hold off.. doc's usually say NO SEX for at least 6 weeks... even for a natural birth.

My midwife told me that i should wait 1year before having another baby. Guess its to make sure your all healed enough around the scar area to support another pregnancy.

I personally would wait at leat six months to allow your self to heal inside and out. It takes at least six weeks for the outer scar to heal enough for you do just simple tasks like drive a car. To be honest any earlier than six months and you could encounter problems. Best to talk to a specialist though!

after a c-section it's best to wait until AT LEAST 6 weeks after to ensure your healing properly... but after experiencing a c-section myself I can guarantee you'll feel twinges of pain and healing until at least 3 months... so I'd strongly advise you to wait until you feel back to normal and the pain from the C-section is no longer present... I'd also wait until your menstral cycle is back at a minimum....

After my c-section I bleed for about 3-6 weeks (though lightly the last 2 weeks)... just had my 1st menstral cycle recently and my son just turned 6 months on Saturday and believe me it was brutal.... laid me up with pretty bad cramps for 4 days.. but I know everything is working properly because of it... so... Give yourself a chance to truely heal first... My man and I aren't using contraceptives as we do hope for another... but I don't want them TOO close together... nore do I want them years and years apart... We're hoping for maybe in the next 12 months for pregnancy #2... but we haven't really discussed it either.
